JBS cements partnerships for event organized on behalf of the ‘Hospital do Amor’


São Paulo, November 29, 2018 – JBS is organizing the “Ribs for Good” event on behalf of the ‘Hospital do Amor’ in Barretos, a leading world center for oncology. The barbecue will have three new partners, Swift, Jack Links and Kings Barbecue.

Jack Links, a US-based leader in the protein snacks market, will provide small sausage appetizers in three different flavors: traditional, smoked and spicy, and donate around 200kg of spicy Italian sausages that will be served during the event. Kings Barbecue, producer of the original pit smokers, will provide traditional barbecue smoking pits that cook meat in authentic American barbecue style. Swift will also donate 100kg of both traditional and spicy toasted cassava flour, a tasty side dish for barbecues.

The barbecue party will take place in Espírito Santo do Pinhal, in the state of São Paulo, and the Company will donate 1.5 tons of beef ribs cooked in a “fire pit”, a traditional gaucho method of roasting. If you wish to attend the event, you can purchase a ticket for BRL 110 at the official event website. Those who will not be able to attend but still wish to help out can purchase quotas varying from BRL 50 (fifty Brazilian reais) to BRL 200 (two hundred Brazilian reais). The goal is to raise funds for cancer patients.


Since the beginning of the year, JBS has been engaging its suppliers to contribute R$ 1 (one Brazilian real) to the organization per head of cattle sold to the Company through the “Agriculture Against Cancer” campaign.
