Sao Paulo, June 14, 2016 – JBS is reporting that Gilberto Xandó has been appointed to its Board of Directors to replace Joesley Batista, who stepped down from the Board on May 26, 2017.

In 2011, Xandó was named CEO of Vigor, a leading manufacturer and supplier of value-added products in the Brazilian dairy sector. Prior to that, he was a senior executive at Natura Brasil and Sadia S.A., where he spent over 20 years of his career in finance, marketing, sales and international business, where he was responsible for supervising the company’s successful international expansion. Gilberto holds a degree in Business Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and a Retail MBA from the Economics and Management Faculty at the University of Sao Paulo, as well as a specialization in Business Management from the PGA – Dom Cabral Foundation/INSEAD, in France.
